If you are passionate about numismatic, arts and heritage, educational programmes, museum tours and many more exciting activities, we are looking forward to tapping onto your talents and creativity to make the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery the best place it can possibly be!

This is a unique opportunity to be part of the ‘behind-the-scenes’ team. By volunteering, you can be at the very centre of this exciting (yet fun!) environment. You will also work closely with our in-house curators and befriend like-minded people.

We need your help on the following:

• Behind-the-scenes Volunteers – Work behind-the-scenes to put together high profile events and exhibitions that involve skills in photography, design, research, and IT.
• Programme Assistants – Provide support during activities such as money management workshops, public programmes, art classes, etc.
• Docents – Guide visitors through tours of galleries and exhibitions, facilitate talks at special events and assist with demonstrations.
• Greeters – Welcome visitors, manage crowd and provide directions to the galleries, exhibitions and facilities.

Time Commitment

• Minimum of 20 hours per year.

Requirements

• Applicants 16-18 years old must attach consent letters from parents or legal guardians.
• All applicants must be at least 16 years old on the date of admission.
• Fluent in spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Fluency in other languages will be an added advantage.
• Successfully pass a security vetting process.

Training

• Familiarisation walk-through sessions will be provided to successful applicants.
