Introduction


ICOMON is one of the international committees under ICOM and it was created for museums of numismatics and museum of financial and economic institutions or companies. Altogether there are around 118 banking and money museums (including central bank museums) around the world as the member of ICOMON. ICOMON provides a forum for its members to share expertise, experiences and in-depth discussions relating initiatives as well as issues faced by money and banking museums through annual conference, meetings, and workshops.

The 29th Annual Conference of International Committee of Money and Banking Museum (ICOMON) will be hosted by Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery from 15-18 November 2023 at Sasana Kijang. This event promises a platform where you can gain insights into the broader mission of museums and their pivotal role in disseminating knowledge.

The Theme:
Our conference theme, 'Reinforcing Museums' Sustainable Competitiveness in the Age of Digitalization and Global Societal Challenges,' will bring together museum professionals in the field of money and banking museum from around the world.
