Jiwa Membumi meraikan landskap pinggir bandar di Semenanjung Malaysia melalui pandangan dua belas artis daripada Pastoral Malaysia Collective, yang diketuai oleh Eric Peris. Para seniman ini menjelajah sawah padi, kampung dan pekan kecil, termasuklah, belantara, sambil mendokumentasikan persekitaran semula jadi, hubungan insan dan sejarah tempatan. Melalui karya mereka – fotografi, catan, video selang masa, dan seni instalasi – para seniman mengingatkan kita bahawa tempat-tempat ini bukanlah suatu peninggalan namun bernyawa, sebahagian dari pada jati diri.

The Soul of the Land celebrates the rural landscapes of Peninsular Malaysia through the eyes of twelve artists from Pastoral Malaysia Collective, led by Eric Peris. They roamed paddy fields, villages and small towns, and no less, rainforests, as they documented the natural environment, human connection and local histories. Through their work – photography, paintings, time-lapse videos, and installation art – the artists remind us that these places are not relics but living, breathing parts of our identity.
