With a Merdeka Day theme, the “Symphony of Unity” exhibition features Bank Negara Malaysia’s collection of art works, reflecting the diversity of components that makes Malaysia unique. The combination of local artists from different ethnic backgrounds, and art works depicting scenes from all over Malaysia, has been arranged to reflect the “Symphony of Unity”. Merdeka Day is a meaningful occasion for all Malaysians, prompting celebrations of different cultures and traditions organised all across the country. This exhibition embraces the same approach by celebrating the oneness and highlighting the bonds and togetherness of a nation through the eyes of Malaysian artists, namely Cheah Yew Saik, Norma Abbas, Khalil Ibrahim, Sharifah Fatimah, Chin Kon Yit, Redza Piyadasa and Lingam Johnson.
